I Ministry sono stati un gruppo industrial metal statunitense, formatosi a Chicago nel 1981.
Sono considerati i capostipiti dell'industrial metal, anche se solo pochi brani ne fanno parte. Inoltre hanno influenzato altri gruppi simili relativamente più recenti, come Nine Inch Nails, Fear Factory e Static-X.
L'unico componente stabile della band è il cantante e polistrumentista Al Jourgensen, che al suo attivo ha anche vari progetti collaterali.
Dopo l'uscita del loro ultimo album The Last Sucker, nel 2007, Al Jourgensen ha annunciato la chiusura definitiva della carriera del gruppo.
